Background

Awo stood over the Forsaken scribe, axe in hand, reminding him that she was paying extravagantly for him telling her story accurately.

"This is the story of the memories of the Troll woman Awo.  She describes her life before she was raised by the Lich King as 'fo'gotten' with some regret.  She does not know her place of origin, her age, her tribe, nor her family.  She thinks that she lived in the humid swamps of Stranglethorn, but insists that 'on'lee de loa kno fo' sho'.  She is able to describe, in some detail, the murder of the innocent, the torture, the brutality of undeath in the service of the Damned, and the events that led her to start to question the will of Arthas - an encounter with a Sen'jin troll captive by the name of Iggy Darktusk, the events of the Battle of Lights Hope Chapel, and the freedom granted by Highlord Darion Mograine's rebellion."

"She also describes herself as a keeper of memories, or at least, one who hopes to become such.  Given her illiteracy, I suspect she means to keep these memories alive through some kind of oral tradition, storytelling.  It is difficult to understand whether she is already such, or merely aspires to be so."
