Background

The Modern Sentinels:

Whether or not the original Inquisitors of the Shadow Sentinels disapeared or not, it remains to be seen. A certainty is that the whereabouts of each of them became unknown to the Captains and those ranked below them. As time passed the divisional structures set in place collapsed. Sentinels broke their Oaths and the Captains began making less and less appearances. Months past, and the Sentinels were silent.

However, this silence came to a halt earlier in the year. Under the leadership of Captain Dorgul, the Sentinels of the Third Division began reinforcing their presence in the Alliance. After bringing the leaders of The Vanguard order to justice for their corrupt ways the Sentinels were on a roll. By reforming the Coalition of Light with the Stormguard the Sentinels looked to double their movements, bringing in members of anti-Alliance organisations such as The Veracious Eye.

After suffering the blow of losing their Captain in battle, the Sentinels restructured. With the young Captain Jazeel Spade at the helm, they have brought many so-called corrupt individuals to justice. As of late, however, the re-appearance of certain individuals has caused great stress to the hierarchy of the Sentinels. But with their usual secretive resolve it may prove very difficult to find out exactly what the problem is..

*This is the Shadow Sentinel Application form, which can be found by talking to Grunder Ironsplin in Nethergarde Keep. He will give you the form and probably say something like this:*

"What's that? You want to join The Shadow Sentinels? Good luck to yer'. Loads o' folks have come ter this Keep t'apply ter that lot. Hic. Most go away un'appy too! But tell y'what, I like t'look of ye', ah'll give yer some advice. Ah' know what they're lookin' for, and how yer c'n get ter impressin' 'em. And fer a pint, ah'll tell y'how.

They're an organised lot, dinnae like t'see slackers 'nd lazy folks. If yer come applyin' ter them wiffout knowin' who they are then yer already off ter' a bad start. Yer'd 'dae a good job in asking aroun' folks in t'know about t'organisations 'istory. Every wee bit 'elps, y'know? Ah know of of t'Sergeants, seen 'im come 'ere once or twice fer a drink. Degaroth. Yer'd be best expectin' ter meet 'im, or tha' Draenei lassie fer an interview.

And nae t'be rude, lassie. But yer gonner have ter do
sommat drastic wiff yer outift t'ere. One o'the most important aspects o' applying anywhere, be it t'Post Office or Church 'er Light, is yer first impressions. Yer'll stand in a lot better stead if yer at least look like y'know what it is yer trying to sell yerself into!

They're a wee bit dramatic wiff t'eir colour scheme. S'either Black, Blue 'nd Black, or tha' brown stuff tha' Degaroth wears. Nothin' too fancy, yer tryin' ter join t'army, nae competin' fer Miss Stormwind.

Righty! So noo' that yer know about t'looks and what yer gonner have ter research. Lets get onter t'simpler parts. Y'see, ah get Guard duty inside their Keep occassionally. Ah've er.. aqquired.. a copy o' t'eir standard applications template. If y'foller this 'ere wee guide 'den yer chances 'er success are much 'igher! But remember ter mind yer P's and Q's. Nobody wants ter see a numpty joinin' them do they? Keep it small, t'the point. Dinnae babble (Although bein' too short in yer letter is worse than bein' too long). Mibbe include a wee snapograph of you in a make-shift uniform. Yer lookin' ter impress remember!

There's 'nother smaller fing I thought ah'd mention. They've got folk applyin' ter 'em quite often. Yer dinnae want ter go givin' them t'same old reasons fer applyin' tha' everyone else uses, do yer? Ah' mean, it's all well and good tha' yer wanner avenge yer fathers 'who was killed bae Cultists, but so's every other Tom, Dick 'n Harry. Tell 'em why -you- are unique. What you offer tha' nobody else does. Plenty 'er folk claim ter have fought off five demons wiff a spoon at t'age o' four, very few claim ter bae Gnomerliwinks Champion two years runnin'. The Old Shadow Sentinels:

The Shadow Sentinels is a branch of the Alliance Army recently created to oppose the "Dark Taint" that supposedly might influence those that ventures through the Dark Portal.
Though the organization both works with the Argent Dawn, the Stormwind City Watch, SI:7 and the Alliance Army, tensions between the allies are numerous and frequent.
This also reflects within the organization, where tensions and disagreements between the divisions tend to disrupt meetings and trainings. Some call it the struggle between 'good and evil', while the ArchInquisitor Nath, refers to it as an 'exchange of different wills'.

Captain Dorgul and Captain Kelara certainly has different views on how to approach the demons. Which path will you choose?
