Background

History:

Brill was once a small town within the human kingdom of Lordaeron. It was one of the earliest towns to become afflicted with the Plague of Undeath that would eventually cripple the northern lands. It was at Brill that the necromancer Kel'Thuzad, still a living man, first started his experiments with the Plague that would come to be the demise of the kingdom of Lordaeron. The success of the infestation was such that it allowed Kel'Thuzad to convince the Lich King to launch the invasion even before it was planned. The mass graveyard just outside of Brill was made to accommodate the large number of deaths Tirisfal suffered when the Plague first came. The town was investigated by Prince Arthas during his mission to uncover the source of the Plague. Following the weakening of the Lich King due to the spell cast by Ilidan, Sylvanas's rebel Forsaken were able to quickly assume control of the village, along with numerous other sites in Tirisfal Glades. The citizens of Brill now fight daily to preserve their freedom against their enemies.

Brill's Official Roleplaying Hours:

Gallows' End Tavern Hours:

Wednesdays: 19:00 - 21:00 Realm Time.

Saturdays: 19:00 - 21:00 Realm Time.

Other Information: Ilron Dreadfist runs the tavern. Unlike most would think, the Gallows' End Tavern is always kept clean, nifty and prepares your meal or drink through emotes, in detail. Of course, he might not be running it if noones coming(over an hour) or due to being not present. Those that seem to be impatient and wish to "serve the food themsleves", grabbing what they want from the kitchen, beware - there's a sign with huge letters above the entrance, saying "DO NOT ENTER", - you risk being thrown out/attacked.

Town Meetings:

Every 2 weeks, in the Town Hall, on Sundays, at 19:00 Realm Time. (Time/day decision is on hold)

Other Information:

Brillians, or those who wish to become a part of Brill, should not be late - rumours tell of limb losses as a consequence. The rest(curious visitors, friends, relatives) are free from punishments, though be warned - the information told during the town meeting will 'not' be repeated.

Recruitment:

Requirements: Must be dead and have enough intelligence to understand and follow given orders.

"How do I apply?"

OOCly, you're supposed to write an application and/or character description on our forum, which ICly would mean, that you're leaving a parchment, regarding your past and present story, intentions and expectations, at the Town Hall.

Guild Information:

"What is the rate of tax?"

Tax is often the point of many panicked cries as people just join. It's very simple really. While there is an item in the game called scarlet tabard. Not only is it unique it's also soulbound. SO you can't gather the 30 required for the tax in the game anyway. You basicly either RP you killed a bunch of scarlets and hand their tabards over, or that you had someone else gather the tabards for you. So it's all in RP. Nothing with the game mechanics.

The tax is: 30 scarlet tabards.

"What is the maturity rating of the guild?"

Well, from what I've(Ilron) seen, most in the guild are in their teens. But that won't have anything to do with their maturity. If someone begins messing about ICly or being too irritating OOCly, he/she risks of getting kicked.

"What is the maturity of the guild channel?"

As with the guild in general, the channel can get really silly. But I've seen theological discussions in it! The point is, that's it's so rich of diversity that it's hard to say if it's mature or not. Keep the flamewars in private and that it doesn't hurt talking in our guild chat channel!

"It the guild chat channel a place for pure roleplay or is it considered a place just to chat or something in between?"

A simple and short answer. Guild chat is OOC. We don't have superpowers and only a few can talk with their mind. (*shouts 'mindcrawler' to Lilliandras*) So purely a place to chat, although you can always ask if anyone wants to get to Brill or so, for some RP.

General Town Information:

  • You're welcome to "park" your mount at the stables anytime.
  • In order to rent a room in the tavern, you'll need to discuss it with the tavernkeeper/tavernkeeper's assisstants.
  • Notes, documents, parchments, scrolls are left in the Town Hall.
  • Posters should be delivered to the Baron, as they will be stickied not by you, but by the workers. If you 'do' sticky them yourself, we'll just rip them off.
  • Scarlet/Dalaran uniform is not tolerated and those wearing it will be attacked without question or remorse.
  • The Armory is free for use, though tell the blacksmith what you're there for and he should give you a note, on which you'll have to write your name, surname, signature and current time(this is nessecary in order to track down, who caused trouble...if one did).
  • If someone refuses to follow or breaks the law of Brill, expect your reputation to jump from a cliff.
