Background

Duckular was born in Gnomeregan, and raised in a poor but proud gnomish family, alongside several brothers and sisters, until he was brought home by one of the guards once too many times for pickpocketting. At this, Duckulars mother threw him out of the street, and he made his way to Ironforge, jumped on the deeprun tram without checking if he needed a ticket, and found himself on the streets of Stormwind.

Homeless, Duckular first of all set up a small business, where he would not wash for months, then follow rich looking people around until they paid him to go away - "Everyones 'appy!". However, it was not long before this rather innocent way of making money turned to petty crime.

As a pickpocket, he found an accomplice - Nimlek - and together with other members of a small gang which grew up around him, including members such as Donfur, Zalarn and Durakbar, they became infamous for their petty crime. Duckular and Nimlek had a routine in which Duckular would attempt to sell someone a stolen pocketwatch, and if they did not buy it, Nimlek would creep up and attempt to steal their wallet while they were distracted. Eventually, Duck was taken into the Legitimate Business Club by Shifte, and slowly rose through their ranks to become Vice Chairman, and eventually Chairman.

In his time as Boss, Duckular did his best to lead the club, keeping the Pig an' Whistle tavern running, and attempting to negotiate the less legitmate side of the club. Eight months after becoming chairman, Duckulars time as Chairman came to an end after he was arrested and placed under city custody under suspicion of the Cathedral Robbery (Something that Baugi, Captain of the City Watch, classed as Treason), alongside atleast two other major robberies which were investigated. The case never came to court, but members of the club started to turn against Duck around this time, and Duckular chose to retire to avoid infighting within the club as two sides started to emerge.

Duckular has a passion for Sport, and it was at the second game of "Rushball" that Duckular met the love of his life, Freckles, who was at the match alongside her sister Speckles to photograph and report on it. Shortly afterwards, Speckles was kidnapped, and in the time that she was missing, Duck and Freckles became very close, their feelings for each other finally being said the night before the gates "of that deserty place" opened, and the bugs invaded - Duck and the LBC had decided to help defend Gadgetzan.

Duckular attempted to keep Rushball running for as long as he could, but due to the violent nature of the game, and the fact that it could only take place in the arena in Stranglethorn vale, he decided a less violent version needed to be brought to Stormwind, and thus, Stormball was born.

Shortly after Duckular retired as Chairman of the LBC, with his relationship with Freckles in ruins over the accusations of the Cathedral Robbery, Duck joined the Shield of the Dawn as a supply officer. By his own admission, this was largely to win back the heart of freckles, and his willingness to fight for what is right did manage this, and strengthen their relationship.

After missions to the plaguelands and outland, Duck was eventually promoted to Captain, when the former Captain, Jorendo Ashgard was promoted to General. The Shield of the Dawn was based in Duskwood, and worked there for many months, before Jorendo was assigned to a different division of the Dawn. In his absense, Duckular was made "Captain-Incharge", but it was not long before the Argent Dawn decided to disband the Shield due to not being able to dedicate any more troops to them.

After leaving the Dawn, Duck worked for the Vanguard Order for a few months, becoming Lieutenant of the Second Division.

Eventually however, a new job offer came through, and Duck took it with open arms. The job was to be Manager of the Stormwind Postal Service, which needed a serious financial boost and reorganising. Using his business background and sales technique, Duck hoped to put it back on its feet, which he did to some extent, before realising that the postal service wasnt the job for him, and that he wasnt the right person to lead it either, and so handed in his resignation.

Duckular is now rather undecided what to do with himself. The two places he has felt most at "home" has been when he's been selling on the streets, or fighting for the Argent Dawn. What he will end up doing next, is anyones guess.
