Faerie Tale

Join the Faerie Tale: a compelling event where you can be just as legendary as you want! Are you the pinkiest princess around that has arrived to Therandia to find the prince of her dreams, or perhaps you are the biggest Gnome in the entire world? Or perhaps you would like to step into the shoes of the king of some outlandish kingdom, or clad yourself in the vestments of a pirate lord!
Ladies and Gentlemen of all ages,
Lady Acrona Winterflow kindly invites You to a humorous event inside
the tall walls of stunningly beautiful Theramore. For one evening,
Theramore will turn into "Therandia"; a lively city in a faerie world!
The event could be called improvised theatre, for whoever arrives is
expected to have given themselves a theatrical persona to act out
during the evening. Whether you would like to arrive as a king, a
peddlefeet, a murloc ambassador, is up to you, but please think up a
tiny background story for the portrayed persona you come as. Presenting
yourself as a person that truly exists is not allowed. For example, you may not claim yourself to be Archmage Jaina Proudmoore of Theramore.
The event bears some similarity to the celebration of Scarecrow's Night, but it is not so dark by theme.
Once you have decided on the role you are going to portray, please send
a brief summary of what you've come up with to the event overseer
Acrona. The information will be posted in public - this will hopefully
promote the chance of getting into thrilling theatrical situations with
other attendants! Perhaps you are just what the crazied wizard seeks...
Sending information about your portrayed persona is voluntary.
Please do not forget teamwork! You could very well arrive as a pack of
funny pirates with your friends, or play a royal family hailing from a
kingdom called Far Far Away.

The event will begin at 19:00 and end at 22:00 o'clock on Saturday 8th
March. The emphasis is on having fun moments socializing with the other
portrayed personas that attend.
We are looking for sensible people who would be interested in
organising independent activities during the evening, between Seven and
Ten O'clock in the evening. This is a grand chance to shine and get
yourself known amongst the peoples of Azeroth!
The activity need not last long, and you can host it alone! It could be
just a song or dance performance, a picnic, a steam tonk tournament... Hopefully
many will contribute!
Schedule:
Time -- Name of the activity/entertainment -- Place -- Brief description
Note: Some activities may very well "overlap" each other, meaning
multiple activities might take place at the same time, spreading people
around the city. The schedule might not turn out perfectly accurate
during the evening.

For safety matters, everyone must remain inside the city walls of
Theramore or by the docks. People or activities outside the city are not part of the
event. Please do not interrupt the peace of Lady Proudmoore's
residence, which consists of the tower in the middle of the city. Since
masquerade-ish events are prone to criminal activity, there will be
plenty of guards patrolling around the place all evening.
To promote Your security, dear reader:
Sharp weapons or guns are not allowed even as a part of the costume.
Do not bring anything highly valuable to you that could be stolen.
Do not eat or drink anything someone you do not know offers you.
People rumoured to be visiting Therandia that day:
- Omdopolopius, Seer of Futures Coming! Former court-jester of a far-away King, Omdopolopius has arrived in town with his garbs of many colours and his head filled with many thoughts. Marvel as he gazes deep into the future of any who dare meet him!
- Ice Queen Icitria: Powerful ruler of Iceria, one of the northern frosty kingdoms! The rumour goes she can freeze any living being with her chilly embrace! Widow. (Looking for servants!)
- Gatekeeper Edward: A hermit that settled in the port, nicknamed "The odd", working as a gatekeeper and keymaster. Some say he has come in the search of some relic or artifact, as he seems full of stories of far away lands and holder of weird trinkets and items. He holds many riddles to the inhabitants, and always rewards with a piece from his collection of odds.
- Lord Hector Inebrius, human form of eccentric Dragon-Prince Lazewing: Eccentric often verging on loony, Hector Inebrius the Dragon that claims to be of the Blonde Dragonflight from far away will be seeking merriment and going about his standard business of accusing random innocents of being Dragons themselves as well as attempting and failing to set fire to things with his supposedly powerful dragonbreath.
- Goddess Neoma: Goddess of the baby murlocs, richest of the murloc gods, her bank account exceeds 99 copper coins, and with that huge amount of gold she and her murlocs shall take over the world!
- Queen Iceena of Farsouth: Ruler of the snowy regions far to the south has announced to be present. Royal Lorekeeper Bill, High Archivar of The Papers will accompany the queen at the festivities.
- Rejoice! It is rumoured that the wandering bard Tjodolv the Skald will be there! Some say his art has the power to bring down kingdoms - alhough, whether this is because of his sharp words or false tunes is unknown. At any rate, Tjodolv will be present, twanging his lute, singing short songs about the others present.
- Durhon of Tharn is said to have charmed mighty dragon princes with his poetry, and he will be in Therandia on this day. Durhon is a wandering bard from the Norhtern Wastes of the world. He will be reciting his songs, ballads and poems (not to mention telling stories) to anyone willing to listen.
- Beast King Garr and Beast Queen Thalia - Not much is known about the two Monarchs, hailing in from their magical exotic forest far to the East. It is said that they rarely venture into populated areas, choosing instead to rule over the beasts that their Kingdom comprises of. As you could probably guess, their manner is bestial - moreso of King Garr. If you do decide to brave an audience with the two mysterious creatures, you may be better off talking with Queen Thalia, rather than risk bearing King Garr's presence and lacking a limb or two by the end of the night.
- Eric Von Rickety-Hoven, also known as "The Lead Baron": Von Rickety-Hoven is one of the greatest Gnomish pilots to ever fly and a legend amongst all who have ever flown a gyrocopter.
- The Beggar Prince Jock Scraps of the land of Obo, slightly far to the west.
Let us build a grand faerie tale together!
- Faction: Alliance
- No OOC in /say, /yell, /emote channels.
- Be unflagged for PvP combat.
- While the event indeed is 'melodramatic', power-emoting is still not acceptable.
- Regard NPC guards as real characters in the environment. They are not air. Widely known criminals wouldn't walk peacefully around in recognizable form.
