Ferrin and Gilya's song

Ferrin

Ferrin and Gilya's song.

Ferrin and Gilya, they lived house by house.
Neighbours and friends all their life.
Ferrin one day took fair Gilya as spouse.
They lived now as husband and wife.

War called for Ferrin to leave his home by.
He waved Northrend bye, and took off.
Nothing knew he that his Gilya would die.
From fever and bloodstained, dry cough.

A few days went by, and she woke from her sleep.
A death with no heaven for her.
She felt nought but pain, and a hunger so deep.
The plague has no comfort or cure.

She lost all her soul, and she lost all her will.
The Lich king drew power from all.
Bottomless needs that he can't ever fill.
Now Gilya obeys Ner'zhul's call.

Rumours of plague one day caught Ferrin's ear.
He rushed north expecting the worst.
The truth that he found, was more than he could bear.
His Gilya had even been first.

He saw Gilya's eyes, but he couldn't believe.
That his love had fallen undead.
Nothing could he do to her life retrieve.
In horror and anguish he fled.

He stumbled and ran to the glazier so pale.
To Icecrown, where death is a rule.
This is the end of these two lovers' tale.
Ferrin frozen and Gilya the ghoul.
