About
"It's like youtube. You end up miles from what you first started looking at."
- Duckular
The Main Goal of the Argent Archives Webportal is to tie the Argent Dawn community together. One visit to the portal should be enough to understand what is currently happening in the realm. It is a place where players can present their characters, guilds and role-play experiences (stories, screens, artswork etc.) and at the same time check current news, plan events, read stories and see others work. Enjoy!

Inhabitants of Argent Dawn
The Argent Archives
The Argent Archives is a Webportal that brings the players of the World of Warcraft Argent Dawn role-play server (EU) a new dimension to their role-playing experience. Read the latest news, add your character- and guild profiles and search the database for others.
The website is in some ways a representation of the The Argent Archives Archives in Ironforge, though it is up to each character to decide what information is only on the site for OOC purposes, and what is actually written in the Archives in game. Try to accomodate for this during roleplay and avoid invading people's privacy.
Show the Realm who you are
All that's needed to join The Argent Archives is a valid email address. Once you register, use the simple tagging system to link other character’s and stories to your own. Fill in the profile and post a character portrait and soon everyone on the realm can see who your character really is.
Expand your Horizon
The Argent Archives is home to both Horde and Alliance. Search for new friends and enemies based on their stories, news items, artwork or profiles. Don’t be surprised to have people come up to you in game with proposals for storylines and fun roleplay after you publish your profile.
Privacy and Security
The Argent Archives is a tool made to enhance the In Character (IC) experience of the game. To ensure that nobody can understand who your alts are you must therefore register a new account for each character you have. Your email is safe with us, but we recommend not using your Wow password! Remember to only add what you want others to know of your character. Most fields in the profile are optional.
Note: If you post anything made by (or largely inspired) by others than yourself, give credit to the creator using a link, or the content might be removed. Examples: Artwork, lyrics, etc.
OOC and IC
We hope to unite all roleplayers on Argent Dawn. We do not judge good or bad roleplay. We accept and respect all forms of roleplaying as long it is in line with the Blizzard Policy for Roleplaying http://www.wow-europe.com/en/policy/roleplaying.html. Whether you prefer to spend your time raiding, committing crime in Stormwind, questing randomly or spending your time in Goldshire matters not. Since views on roleplaying are as diverse as the characters and players of Argent Dawn we have opted to keep the portal as in character as possible. Only a minimum of out of character options will be available. Examples: Links to external websites, polls for how to improve the site, artwork and story rating.

The AA Team Backgrounds:
Alabast – The Marketer
Not as ancient as the other two members (Alabast didn’t log on until day two), Alabast have always tried to make up for his late entry by creating more or less successful roleplaying ventures. Being a real life student of advertising and marketing he regards the Archives as an arena for combining his passions. Alabast is responsible for expanding the user base of the Archives as well as doing most of the graphical work for it. Contact Alabast regarding advertising on the website as well as suggestions for how to make the Archives a better tool for you to use.
Starstone – The Administrator
Being heavily involved in both the silvereye.dk and the former Argent Dawn Community website, there is none better to run the Webportal than Starstone. Using Drupal allows us to easily add and remove applications that suits the Archives and Starstone knows the ins and outs of the tool better than anyone. He has not lost touch with the game world however and can often be seen wandering around Stormwind after a successful trip into the wilds. Contact Starstone regarding security-issues and suggestions for new Drupal addons to add.
Yara – The Visionary
Yara’s human alterego has been around since day one of Argent Dawn. Researching for her PhD on role-play in online games she traveled Azeroth in different forms. You might have met her as a snaphappy twin-sister in Stormwind for example. Next to being the teams voice of reason and visionary mind, she is heavily involved in both the Argent Post as well as Gilthas programming. Contact Yara regarding ideas for new features and desires for deep discussions regarding the development of online communities.
The Ink gnome
The AA team is working on including more people to help us with our work. Receiving an average of five emails a day, we have more than enough to do. The current Ink gnome will be revealed in the future when he is ready to see the light of day.
Other contributors:
Regi – From the very beginning Regi was there and aided both the Caravans as well as the foundation of how the site would work.
The Snapsisters – The work of the Snapsisters was a great inspiration for us when we created the site. Some might remember that Speckles even was an employee of the Archives for a little while.
Kalistra – Another cornerstone in the development of the Archives. Kalistra’s old interviews was one of the many sites that inspired us to create the Archives.
Calon – We thank Calon for encouraging us to keep working at a critical stage. That is also why he has been forever imprinted into the graphics on the site. Can you find him?
Dobbley – For creating the first version of the Archives. Back then our goal was to interview each member ICly and putting up the profile ourselves. Ahh, the madness…
The ADwiki – Thanks to the ADwiki for not yelling at us when proposing to create “another wiki” for Argent Dawn.
The first caravan: Rachidi, Crudelia, Teedot, Flarn, Aireicyl, Bootse and Ibraima, together with the many guilds that defended the caravan. Thank you!
