"Another day, another time"

It never worked out well. My stay within the new Shadow Sentinels was shorter than I could ever have imagined it to be. Not a single part of the plan had gone right. Bah.

The young waiter arrived with another glass of liquor, interrupting the thoughts of the purple Elf. He was tall for a human, and looked quite pleasant with his long black hair tied in a pony-tail. Aluuna rewarded him with a smile (a polite and strained one) and a few coins as a tip. The human returned her smile before turning to another costumer.

Aluuna sipped her drink. It no longer burned her throat, which was a good thing. How many glass had she been drinking by now, six or seven? Maybe eight? She couldn't really remember. And she did not really care. The blurr in her head was pleasing her, and she wouldn't mind having a few more drinks.

I still would have been a member of the Sentinels if it wasn't for that useless excuse of a soldier, Darrenn Aduro. The chances of him being nearby when I lost my temper was close to none! And yet he was there, hearing everything I shouted in my primitive and impulsive anger.

The tavern was a pleasant one. She had heard nasty stories about the various violent brawls that occured here from time to time, but this time the inn seemed completely calm, despite being crowded with people. A few people were gambling, but they remained calm and no one paid them any unnecessary attention.

I wonder if I would actually have succeeded if it wasn't for Darrenn. Maybe that albino goat, Miyev, would have noticed something. Mathial, perhaps. He is quite sharp after all, despite looking like an old barbarian.

A drunk giggle escaped her. A few people turned their head to look at the giggling Elf, but only shook their heads and grinned. Aluuna was worthy of their attention for a few moments before they turned to look at something else.

Another chance will be given, I'm sure. Another day, another time. We still have some business, Captain Jazeel Spade.

After paying for her drinks, Aluuna stood up, swaying a little on the spot before regaining balance, and left the tavern.
