Background

Draunie - The past
Alisandre was crashed with the exodar and as many oher Draenei and lost contact with her parents. After she got word that her parents might be alive and were seen in the area of Stormwind. Alisandre set out to find them but was ambushed by orcs in ashenvale and left for dead.

20 years old at the time Alisandre was discovered by a Tauren and a Draenei couple. Arkadus (Male Draenei shaman) and Moolina Lillyhoof (Female Tauren Shaman) brought her body to the Tauren to mend her wounds. Unfortunately the only one able to mend the damage done was an undead shadow priest with a twisted sense of humor. Upon mending her wounds and attaching her soul to her body te priest fragmented her mind.

When Alisandre awoke she had no memories of who she was, where she was from or even what she was. Since the little Draenei was so confused and the couple Arkadus and Moolina were unable to have kids of her own they made Alisandre believe she was a daughter of theirs and named her Draunie Lillyhoof.

For the next year Draunie was educated in shamanism and lived with her false parents in the fields of Mulgore near Bloodhoof village. But as all good things come to an end so did these happy times. Draunies fragmented mind prevented her from understanding certain shamanistic ways both Arkadus as the Taurens were unable to find a solution.

In the end Arkadus decided it was best if Draunie left for the humans in the hope that they perhaps could help her and discover what was wrong. Arkadus dispatched Draunie to the Stormwind and ordered her to learn as much as she can not to return untill she was capable of understanding the shaman ways.

Tralinda
As Draunie arrived in Stormwind the midsummer festival was just starting. In complete awe about all the beautifull things displayed Draunie spend all her gold buying every bit of festival junk available. It was during these days that she met Tralinda.

Tralinda was another Draenei visiting Stormwind for her own reasons. They first met on the streets as Draunie was a bit lost. Tralinda showed Draunie around and they almost immediately became friends. During those days Draunie had times where she felt that she had met Tralinda before. And felt a strange attraction to her.

The days after were not so pleasant for Draunie however. Draunie decided to visit the bars on her own and naieve as she is told everyone she met about her being a half Tauren, half Draenei. This was not always answered with understanding. One evening a human heard of her being a crossbread and started calling her named like "cow". Draunie got so upset that she burst into tears. Luckily Tralinda was there to comfort Draunie when she needed a friend.

In the days after Tralinda and Draunie kept becomming closer and closer even to an intimate point. Draunie told Tralinda that she was a half Tauren and Tralinda although sceptic accepted her still. Tralinda found it very remarkable that Draunie never actually learned the Draenei language or at least could not remember.

Again all was fine untill Drauni tasted something containing "alcehol" for the first time. At some point during the evening Draenie lost controll and fell into a state of nightmare. Draunie had terrible dreams of Draenei burning in green flames and whispers promising her power beyond her dreams.

Tralinda was in complete shock during this event specially since Draunie screamed in fluent Draenic. After a few minutes Draunie passed out to wake up moments later without any memory of the event whatsoever. Every now and then these Draunie kept having these sort of blackouts whenever she drank acehol containing liquids and everytime Tralinda kept close guard that Draunie did not hurt herself or anyone else.

At one given night Tralinda and Draunie were romantically sitting on a mountain edge overlooking the Hinterlands as Draunie had another blackout, this time without the use of alcehol. A different fragment of Draunies mind had fought its way to the surface. This fragment existed for a large part of Alisandres original personality and all of both Alisandres and Draunies memories, but lacked most of the emotions since these were absorbed in Draunies fragment.

Alisandre, recognizing Tralinda as her best friend from their young Draenei years, declared that as a fragment she is unable to communicate with Draunies fragment in any other way then through a third person. Alisandre told Tralinda that she is battling a dark force trying to take over Draunies mind completely and that their time is limited. This dark force causing Draunies nightmares and persuading whispers is actually a third fragment of Draunies mind containing all the hate, hurt, cruelty and every other bad emotion.

Ever since Draunies mind got fragmented Alisandre has been pretecting Draunie from the darkness of her own soul. Every battle weakens and burns Alisandres soul more. The alcehol weakens Alisandres abillity to push back the darkness. Alisandre plead at her best friend to save Draunies soul but warned, only one of the three fragment would be able to survive. Explaining that Alisandre would sacrefice herself for Draunie, Tralinda fell into despair not knowing what to do. Alisandres finds her soul is too damaged to go on living and longs for rest and if her will fails the dark fragment will take over completely.
