The Argent Archives is looking to establish at least two new noticeboards in major cities around Azeroth. Currently the Board of Scribes is looking for guilds or individuals willing to establish and maintain the boards. Anyone who deem themselves able to run such a service, may send their application to Alabast H. Hughtlenoow.
The annual fee for running the board is two hundred gold coins.
Both Horde and Alliance cities will be considered.

OOC:
The AA Team is ready to put up a few more noticeboards on the site. We wish to put up an alliance city as well as a horde city. And YOU will help us choose!

The task
Create a 590x1200 pixel sized background for the city you want to see a noticeboard in. Look at the current noticeboard to see how much of the background will be covered. Currently the size is 590x850. This means that you can advertise yourself at the bottom! For all eternity! Perhaps put in an image of yourself and your guild with a welcome banner? Or a simple “I made this” message. It’s up to you!
The best background image stays on as the background, probably forever! Now that’s free advertising! ;-)

How to submit
Upload your image to the AA and name the file “Noticeboard proposal from <Your name>” Example: “Noticeboard Proposal from Alabast”
No need to notify us of it. We will simply search out your proposals.

Rules
Only one noticeboard submitted per character. (Which means each player has 10 shots if he has registered all 10 characters of his on AD.)

Deadline
Contest starts today and ends August 15th.

Prizes
For each background chosen the following prize will be given:
Your artwork will become a part of the Argent Archives. Forever. Plus a small bonus of three hundred gold.

Jury
The Board of Scribes will be judging the entries. In OOC terms that means the Argent Archives Web Team.

Tips:

The template to use if you need help, is posted below. Download and improve!

- Allow at least the top 100 pixels to name the city of the noticeboard. The Archives Web Team will place this text in if the background is used.
- The next 850 pixels should have imagery that isn’t too defined. Remember that most of it will be covered with notes.
- The bottom 250 pixels is for you do with as you see fit. These will always be showing.
- Keep the original file! Don’t delete it!


FAQ
I want a noticeboard in Thelsamar! Can I make one?
You can make any city you like, but if two images are equally good, the judges will pick the larger city over the smaller one. We are looking to make a noticeboard for a majority of people, and not for the hardcore three man guild that resides in Sentinel Hill. No offense meant if they exist…
Just two?! We need like.. twelve! Why not just make one for each city?
With time each city will receive a noticeboard. But to make sure each board is implemented correctly into the code, no more than five, and no less than two, will be chosen this time.
How do I make the banner? Screenshots are okay? How about a drawing? Or a painting?
Entirely up to you. Good luck!
Can I change the banner if I disband my guild or delete my character?
No.
