A well preserved tome - Chapter 1 - A summary of past events part 1

I was born many years before the apparent happening of the first war, I was born in one of the smaller tribes roaming the Barrens. I was taught in the shaman's way, and what little there was left of Druidic knowledge, which was next to nothing. After a long time of war with the Centaurs, my tribe became smaller and smaller by the years.

Around 300 (this is an estimation) seasons after my birth, the remains of my tribe joined up with that of the current leader of the Tauren race: Cairne Bloodhoof. Around 380 (also an estimation) seasons after my birth, we came across Thrall and his Orcs. I must admit, I was one of the more doubting Tauren at the time, not being sure if they could be trusted. But they proved me completely wrong after they aided our species so well, saving us from extinction.

Not long after, our race joined the so-called 'Horde' and aided in the saving of our home against the apparently evil Burning Legion. In these fights, my kind came in contact with the Kaldorei, or as others call them: the Night Elves. These kind people reinstructed us in the ways of the Druid, and I was among the first to join them.

At first it was hard: to the untrained outsider, there seems to be little difference between Shamanism and Druidism, but in truth, there is. Even though my background of Shamanism certainly helped, I had to do many things completely different than I was used to in order to come in contact with nature. I was certainly not the best in these new arts being taught to us, but I was certainly learning fast.
