The Trial of Banyl Dolosen
((There seems to be some error with putting text next to images. It won't do it this time. Hence the ugly looking-ness. I'll try to fix it.))

Being a Guard at Nethergarde myself, I get to see things there that certain folks like to keep secret. Well, this time around I thought I'd try my snapographer skills and mix them in with my knowledge of where to be hiding for the best angles. I was surprised no one noticed my disguise!

Well, I didn't do Engineering and Woodcraft as a kid for nothing! As everybody kept looking at Dolosen and Degaroth they didn't notice me scooching around much. Explaining a moving chair might've proven difficult.
But anyway, I best start explaining what happened!

The Watch Dwarf arrived a few days before. He spent his time in the dungeon. I'd noticed he had a few visitors, and odd lunatics trying to arrange his escape. Sort of made me curious why people would try to free the guy. If he's innocent, surely he'd be proven so?
Anyway. As it happened he was to wait their until the moments before his trial began. He was a polite chap - At the time I found it hard to believe he could have had anything to do with those ingrates in the Defias Brotherhood. Some Sentinels seemed to agree, they treated him better than most of the buffoons they take into their dungeon.

We had a fair few surprise appearances during the whole affair. Former Captain Kelara of the old regime arrived, in the colours of Shattrath City. I'd heard rumours that Thomas Kerengar was going to judge, but maybe they where from the same people that told me I'd be able to visit Goldshire for a pleasant holiday.
The Judge met with Captain Spade and conversed briefly before she was escorted to the top floor of the tower. When I went up there I found her flanked by two other Draenei - these two actually were Sentinels though. What they where doing in the colours of the Draenei Paladins is beyond me. But I learned not to ask questions here years ago.
Pretty quickly after all of this the others started appearing. Gnomes, Draenei - all sorts! Then the humble, although understandibly, low beat Watchmen arrived. Lieutenant Shadowstar was perhaps the most calm looking. There was a ten minute pause until things were organised. When Captain Spade was believed the court ready, Dolosen was sent for.

The room fell rather quiet as Dolosen entered. The hush lasted for all of twenty seconds before the crowd began gossiping. It wasn't too long until the prosecution stepped up and announced the charges.

Treason -
Working with the Defias Brotherhood against the Status Quo of Stormwind City.
Dolosen didn't look happy at all. When the Judge asked him for his plea, he was quick to give what appeared to be a since;
"Not guilty."
The Judge nodded, and invited Inquisitor Degaroth to provide his evidence.

It was during this time that I noticed the arrival of the infamous Arch Inquisitor Nath Shadoweyes. Many people feeling that he was somehow behind this in some vendetta against the Watch.
I've never liked the man. Only spoken to him once, and he demanded wine. You can't trust a man if he drinks wine, my dad always said.
A few heads turned at his arrival. In particular, the watch men and women exchanged worried glances. However, this soon faded as Degaroth continued with his damming evidence.
He began by producing three letters, each shown to be written by Dolosens hand, which were addressed to the Defias apparently. Banyl even agree'd that he felt he'd written them during the time he was "Insane". Maintaining his innocense further, Degaroth shocked the room by revealing a picture of the Dwarf, in the outfit of a Defias, meeting with red masked individuals in the fields of Westfall. This image seemed to shock the Dwarf, as he fell rather pale after the revelation.
The Judge seemed to agree the resemblance was uncanny. The shock of the image was added to, moments later, when Banyl interupted the prosecution to plead guilty. I almost gave away my disguise with my own small gasp! The Judge accepted Dolosens new plea, and sent the audience off for a ten minute recess. (Which seemed to excite some members of the crowd).

After the ten minute break the Judge had made her decision. All eyes turned to Kelara and Banyl. It was as though no one else was there. The announcement was swift but thorough: Dolosen would recieve life incarceration in the Stormwind Stockades. If you ask me, that's as good as death. I dare assume many of the inmates would not think too kindly of the Watchman, who has served the City of Stormwind against petty thieves for so long.
But I digress. He was working with the Defias. He admitted it himself. Case closed.
