A well preserved tome - Chapter 1 - A summary of past events part 2
I had spent a bit over 16 seasons in Moonglade, home of the Cenarion Circle, to learn what the Night Elves had to teach me. The fact that they appointed me as an elder had (I suspect) little to do with me already being considered among my own.
As written before, my shamanistic background made it easier for me to master the arts of the Druid. After I had finished there, I was sent to Felwood, which was close to Moonglade, to aid there in the healing of the Earth Mother there. This is where I learned of my affinity to heal the woods, and where the curiousity that later turned out to become a near-obsession started. After spending a short period there, it was decided by my superiors that I was needed elsewhere. I was requested to go to Silithus.
I was horrified by the destruction in these lands. I spent maybe a season or so there, after which I set out with a small group of my fellow Druids to a small opening in the ground that was spotted a small distance away. We were told to investigate if it was one infested with the horrible creatures that infested most of the lands: it was. We were attacked by a horde of them, and only myself and 2 of my comrades survived. I will spare you the details to this slaughter.
It was after this that I decided that I was not suited to fight in wars or things alike, and decided to set out alone, and heal the Earth Mother on my own.
