The real worth of cherry pie.

The dough squeezed itself trough Eliras' fingers when she rolled it forward over the small table she used as kitchen at the moment. She lifted her arm and used her shoulder to dry the sweat off her forehead, turning her gaze to the bed in the corner while doing so she smiled. Edhellen had woken up as soon as her father had climbed into the bed, as she was playing the puddle of water that lay in Trynian's boot and had been snow a while ago.

She moved her hands up wild and trew the water all over the place, the coldness splashing over the entire bed and hitting Trynian's face a few time. He mumbled a few times and rolled over as Eliras moved over fast and grabed Edhellen with her dough full hands chuckeling. 'Let your brave father rest, he is being so strong now.' She pulled her little princes against her chest and stared at him, her gaze soft and caring as she leaned over the bed and kissed his cheek. 'Thank you love.'

Edhellen stared at Eliras with two big and fascinated eyes as she had two small bowls and droped the small cherries in one and the big ones in another. Sorting them as carefull as posible Edhellen would try and help in her own way by trowing over the bowls and making Eliras chuckle before tickeling their daughter for a while and starting the work over again not minding at all.

Grinding the back of the spoon trough the bowl with the small cherries, they broke apart before changing into a mash of cheery and some sugar. Nodding a few times as she closed her eyes and smelled it carefully and adding a little bit of extra suger before giving the spoon to Edhellen for her to lick clean. Dropping it a few times on the Table, Eliras stoped her work for a while just to stare at the little wonder trying to figure out how best to lick it clean.

They both sat infront of the small improvised oven, Eliras on her knees, Edhellen next to her holding the spoon with both hands like it was her life. Eliras had tried to take it back a few times but the small girl had just attempt to hit her mother on the fingers with the metal cherry flavoured eating stick. But now they sat there, staring at the fire grow and shirnk before Eliras trew in some more wood, only to make sure the pie would get it's perfect golden color.

The smell of the pie had already spread trough every inch of the room, and was clearly tickeling their noses as they sniffed it in deeply before sighing cheerfully. The first rays of light already shining trought he ice cold window, lighting the room fast and giving it a almost perfect image. She had not slept the entire night, and Edhellen had refused to go to sleep as she would scream and move to Trynian each time Eliras tried to put her to bed.

She pulled open the oven as the last bits of fire had killed themselfs, not even giving light anymore as the entire room was filled with it by now. Edhellen had fought to keep herself awake tillt his moment but lay in the middle of the room, on a carpet sleeping with the spoon in her one hand. She carefully took the pie out and placed it in the middle of the table she had prepared it on, the smell of the pie making tears apear in her eyes for a second as she shaked the memories away fast.

The fabric of the carpet tickled her kneews even trough her dress as she sat down next to Edhellen, brushing her fingers trought he short blue hair and over the ears she loved. There she sat, light shining trough the window lighting up her dream slowly. Her daigher next to her on the carpet, her husband behind her sleeping in bed without a problem on his mind in his sleep, and her self. Mother and wife, in a room filled with the soft innocent smell of cherry pie.
