Background

Shifte arrived in Stormwind at an unknown point in time. Keeping himself to himself the young Gnome bided his time, studying the way Stormwind ran itself. The Watch, led by their shadowy Captain Nath, were constantly working against a group of Gnomes based in the Old Town, The Old Town Blades. Working as a lone criminal, Shifte became associated with those whom hadn't flocked under the banner of the Old Town Gang. The young entrepreneurial Duckular, the pickpocket Nimlek and Gasz, an ex-Blade.

When the end of The Old Town Blades occurred many of the underworld shed a tear. It was around this point in time that Shifte struck, negotiating the purchase of the Pig and Whistle from an emotional Dwoozle using gathered funds under the name of a new consortium - The LBC.

With the allies he had gained during his time alone on the streets, Shifte sought to recruit the 'finest feckin' feckwitts' he could to enforce this new organisatiosn dominance of Stormwinds underworld. With additions such as the ever-suave Ryle, the resolute brute Tundril and the (then) naive and polite Feralar the Club fought off competition from the other gangs that ahd spawned from the fall of the Blades. With the Club now well rooted into Stormwind, Shifte and the Club could now concentrate on the modest goal of becoming as rich as possible - much to the annoyance of the Stormwind City Watch.

The next year of the Clubs history was filled with plots and intrigue, from the much slated friendship between Shifte and then-Sergeant Carinia of the Watch, to the mysterious circumstances surrounding the escape of Nath Shadoweyes from Stormwind Keep. Bank robberies, racketeering, discount hair styling, Argent Dawn collections and Grand-Father-Winter impersonating were just some of the nonsense schemes that took place during Shiftes tenure as Chairman. However, the Gnome decided a change had to be made.

After entrusting the fate of the Club to the potential-filled Duckular, Shifte fell out of the spotlight. Re-emerging after a plot to steal the will of Kerengar was foiled by Adaran and his Shadow Sentinels, Shifte was forced to lead a group of drunken low lifes on suicidal missions in a bid for their freedom. These Expendables achieved their goal during a battle inside Silvermoon City. Rumour has it that it involved Mana Bombs and the Cenarian Agent Erynia Starshard.

After making a brief return to the Club, Shifte organised it under the newest Chairman, Ryle. It is unknown what the now fully-adult Gnome truly plans. Occassionally meddling in the affairs of just about anyone, is he truly a megalomaniacal genius? Or is he merely completely bonkers? Time will tell.
