The Argent Archives was built on the idea that more roleplay would come from gathering everyones background and experience in one place. We've worked on that for some time now allowing players to submit events, news, stories, images and characters.

But to what purpose as long as this information cannot be put into context? So far we've allowed you to link your content together, even relate your stories to newsitems and events (even guilds.) Now, we are about to add a new feature: The plotline.

The Plotline
Simply said the this new feature allows players to add their stories, events, images and more to one specific node; the plotline. An example would be if a player wished to create a third(?) plague in Stormwind. He creates a plotline called "Third Plague of Stormwind" and describes what the plot is about. Note that it must be written IC. Ex:

"The third plague of Stormwind begun on July 4th, 2008, somewhere in the Elwynn forest. Within days it spread to Stormwind and beyond. Symptoms ranged from strong fever to temporary insanity. The only safe haven from the plague seems to be the Cathedral of Light, which have lead some people to believe it's origins hails from the Scourge."

Now, anyone who wishes can add their stories, images, events and news related to the plot. The creator of the plotline can, as time progresses,  add important dates, main characters and illustrations to the plotline description.

Players becoming gamemasters
The idea behind this feature is twofold. In one instance it can be be used as a way for players to cooporate more closely on creating a story together. In another, it allows certain players to become plotmasters of storylines. Wellkept storylines with active creators will receive special attention as well. Perhaps a "most active storyline" feature will appear in the sidebars?

That is the reason behind this post. We need your input as always to make this work.

1. Give us your input and your thoughts on how this plotline feature will work. What will work, what may not work? How can we solve possible challenges? The best suggestion will receive a special surprise from the Archives.
2. A 'plotline' is a very OOC name. What could be an IC name for it that would fit with the story of the Archives? Example: File, Saga, Record... The best name will receive a special surprise from the Archives.

How will it work?
This new node will be created just like a guild, a story or an ad. You click Create Content>Plotline. Here you will be given the ability to add a description and a few other details to the storyline.
Players add their story/event/etc to the plotline by typing the name of the storyline into a new box which will appear at the bottom of each node on the Archives.
