Miribel Milborrow 

Background

Miribel's parents are bookbinders by trade and she grew up helping them. Her older sister married young to a man who worked at the royal library, and for a while she held a position there as stacking and sorting books. When she was finally let off for reading more than working, she applied to become assistant to an elderly scholar. She fit the part perfectly and for six years she stayed in his service, leaving her free access to his personal library.

The old man saw her fascination and in the end she became more of a pupil than an employee, turning into the mans apprentice rather than his assistant. Then her mentor died peacefully in his sleep and looking for a new position that would let her further explore her interests she enlisted to The Shadow Sentinels and was employed as an analyst and researcher.

Miribel stayed in the service of the Sentinels for a number of months. Though finding army life a bit of a challange she still served to the best of her ability, and with the added responsebilities she grew in both confidence and understanding of the occult. During this time she met a man, and for the first time in her life she started to dream of more than just deep studies.

Ossiric was his name, and his gentle approach to her won her heart until the point where they engaged to be married. As the new frontier in the north formed, he was transferred and following him Miribel herself settled down in Dalaran, awakening a life long dream of persuing the magical arts herself. She finally applied to the order of the Kirin Tor and was accepted, regretfully leaving the Shadow Sentinels for the benefit of these new studies.
