| Outward Appearance | From his copperish red hair to his strong features, Dalethas' appearance is restrained. He walks in a strict military manner, keeping his moves to minimal and functional. Still, like many with warfare experience and training, he keeps himself constantly slightly alert. Dalethas' deeply green eyes hold a mixture of emotionless calculation and expressionless analyzation. They rarely show emotions, being in contrast with the muscular finesse of his face. His voice often varies from soft to powerful, yet melodic tones that easily carry over the rage of war. Preferring to be clad in functional rather than expensive clothing, Dalethas rarely dresses himself as would befit his status. He clearly scorns all who seek to dress flashingly, especially those who do so to impress the lesser people –in effect, out of their vanity. Upon close examination, one can however see that sewn on the sin'dorei's robes are often additional protective layers and magical wards. He has a number of visible scars, but all are well taken care of and healing quickly. Occasionally, his features hold a bruise or two. |

Background
Not much of Dalethas' early past is common knowledge, or even recorded in any archive.
Nearly two years has passed from the moment when a copper-haired blood elf was dragged, weak beyond exhausted, bloodied and nearly dead, by Farstrider rangers to the city of Silvermoon. It took weeks before he could speak, and told his name to be Dalethas Emberveil. The healers tending to him took his usual contact information, but found nothing with which to verify it. Noble from his stance, despite the Lion of Stormwind burnmark on his shoulder that marked him as a slave or convict, Dalethas' past was an enigma, but the distressing times ensured no one held the time to look into it further.
So it was that the priest, as he claimed his occupation to be, walked out unharassed, and became lost, vanishing into the masses of the homeless that the war with the Scourge had left in its wake.
The blood elf did reappear in the coming months, visiting the rebuilt Silvermoon from time to time. His comings and goings are to this day left without an explanation. Rumours speculate a darker purpose, suggesting alliance with many a sinister force. Indeed the priest seems to grow more indifferent and cold in his attitude with each passing day. He has risen to the position of the public Voice in the Church of Dawn, a religious organization spanning both the Alliance and the Horde. Dalethas also inherited the title Shadowsinger, sealing his turning away from the Light as is the case with so many of his kinsmen.
Vanishing again for many months, after a confrontation versus Celess, Dalethas made a return into the public scene, seemingly suffering from amnesia. His personality having suffered a slight change, Dalethas forsake the Shadow worship. Instead, he retook healing as his primary craft, and soon brought this knowledge to bear in battle. Titling himself a warpriest, the sin'dorei began a fierce crusade against the Alliance. After a recent battle in Darnassus, a raid in which a few dozen Horde members infiltrated Archdruid Staghelm's chamber and left him painted green, the Cenarion Circle was forced to intervene. Overstepping its authority, the Circle posted a reward for the blood elf priest's capture. This happened under the claim that Dalethas' act was simply to provoke war, as soon after large Alliance raids hit all Horde capitals (and conveniently, Dalethas was hailed as a champion for leading a succesful defense of Silvermoon). The Circle was forced to eventually withdraw these accusations, and publicly apologize for falsed claims. As in so many matters before, truth in what trespassed behind the curtains is known only to the Voice of the Temple of the Dawn himself.
