Leaked Report: The Downfall of Nath Shadoweyes

A transcribed copy of a report leaked from the Stormwind City Watch.

I will here attempt to chronicle the events of the last few months leading to the capture of Nath Shadoweyes.

The Plot Discovered
In June, Captain Jazeel Spade of the Shadow Sentinels came to me to reveal that Shadoweyes had spoken to her of a new plot by which he would once more gain power in Stormwind. He had kept the details few, but the first stages of the plan involved discrediting influential organisations in Stormwind including the Watch and the Shield of Light. We agreed that, in order for Captain Spade to gain the confidence of Shadoweyes, and so be able to lure him into a trap, she would need to appear to be working alongside him. To that end, we decided that I would be found guilty of treason by the Sentinels. I was sworn to secrecy on the matter, until Shadoweyes was captured. Captain Spade would tell only the most trusted Sentinels.

The Tribunal
At the start of July, I wrote several letters designed to incriminate myself as a Defias collaborator. These were sent to Spade to be used as evidence against me, and I was duly arrested. A tribunal was arranged for the 29th of July in which the prosecutor and the judge knew the true story behind the case, and the verdict of life in the Stockade was pre-arranged and agreed upon by all the involved parties.

The "Death"
After roughly a week in the Stockade, I decided that I needed to remove myself from there due to a growing risk of attempts to break me out. However, my escape would need to be kept secret to avoid alerting Shadoweyes. Keanan, Spade and I arranged for my death to be falsified, while in fact I would be magically transported from the Stockade. I spent the next few weeks living in the goblin towns of Ratchet and Booty Bay, adopting a false identity as a holidy-making dwarven engineer. During this time, I remained in contact with Keanan, Shadowstar and Spade. On the 23rd of August, I was told to come to Nethergarde Keep.

The Capture
A meeting was held in which representatives of the Sentinels, the Watch, the Stormguard and the Shield of Light arranged to capture Shadoweyes once he had been witnessed confirming his plans. This would happen on the next day, the 24th. However, the plans were thrown into jeapordy when it emerged that Siskus 'Arunei had betrayed us to Shadoweyes, alerting him and planning an escape attempt. Fortunately, Spade managed to avert 'Arunei's plan, and so Shadoweyes found himself trapped.

The Sentence
After his capture, Shadoweyes was marched through the Dark Portal and, from there, to Toshley's Outpost, where he is to spend his life as a test subject of gnomes.

Addendum: There are certain aspects which are as yet unclear to me, particularly the details of Shadoweyes's plan in full, and the identities of any accomplices he might have had. When I learn more, I shall add to this report. For now, however, I am confident that Nath Shadoweyes is no longer a threat to the Kingdom of Stormwind.
