Odds And Ends

From the protocol ledger of Narath Stonebrow:

Odds and Ends

Good turn-out this year. Made a swap with Snorri so now I'm proud owner of the feck-darned ogre toothpick he'd been telling me about for days before the auction. Also got a stone tablet off Bjarki that seems to be of Sandfury origin. Haven't been able to do a full translation yet, though. Tedious work.

Two unexpected turn-outs:

First, a longshanks pops out and takes the stage to inquire about a book he found off the coast of Strangethorn. Longshanks figured we'd be the lot to turn to but sadly couldn't help the lad at the drop of a hat. Been making inquiries about the book - a mariner's log, probably first mate, mostly disciplinary actions noted - and will probably take matters to the Post.

What's bizarre about this is longshank's claim to be more than 2300 years old and his apparent command over the elements. His exit-stage-left was quite a show, calling forth stones from the earth and fire from heaven as he parted in a puff of smoke. Suspect him to be involved with dragons or Dalaran. Gonna have to be careful proceeding, but can't afford to just let this lie.

Second and most interesting development was the appearance of "K.", Dark Iron by birth. Feller wanted a chat. Turns out he's no longer servant of the Blackrock - or so he claims - and he confirmed my worst fears: they've got a lot more of the ancient tablet from the Iceflow Lake than we've got in our hands.

K. spoke of a group called "The Believers" who apparently also have in their possession part of the tablet. Another Dark Iron faction? Seems to be. Apparently the enemy isn't as uniform as military command likes us to believe.

Will try to meet with K. on the morrow.
