Mysteries and Marvels of the Terokkar Forest

The forest of Terokkar at least has some natural air about,
that's what the black jaguar must have been thinking as it
prowled through the bushes. Even though a few beaming stones
stick from the ground here and there...
Ah that creature looks somewhat familiar.
Between the rocks, an armoured Basilisk tail sticks out.
Hunger for the energizing flesh of this reptile raises the
adrenaline level of the cat speeding up it's pace as the
distance to it's prey shortens... A foul growl shows it's
fangs bright and white in the pale light of the radiating stones,
as out of the nether a strange whitish coloured horned creature
jumps on the back of the cat.
"Grrrr.. I'll never get used to these warp stalkers..."
A few swift claws have already stunned the warp creature when
from behind a loud hissing sound from the forgotten basilisk
echoes against the rocks. In a growing rage the cat grows into
the roaring greatness of a bear, it's two attackers seem to
shrink for a moment but then jump back in all their fury.
The mighty bear paws end the fight quickly, while the thick
hide blocks most of the attacks. Accompanied by the sound of
snapping limbs the basilisk is absently smashed upon the body
of the stalker.
Low grumblings leave the bear like a breath as it's image fades
and a white haired elf stands in it's place.
He slowly stretches his back and with the crackling of his spine
come a few, not so very pleasant words in the direction of the
warp hunter, which startled him so just a few minutes ago while he
was obsessed by the thoughts of the basilisks flesh....
"the flesh, oh right.." he rummages a little in his packs and
finds a knife. "Finkles skinning knife.. ah well, it'll do
once it's seared to perfection no one will notice what cut it."
Carefully he slices a few juicy pieces of meat from both the big
lizard and the other reptile like creature.
"That should give us some inspiration next time we have to
clean out some cave or castle."
After he has used the knife for what it's meant for he carefully
wraps the steaks in the fresh hide and stacks it in his bag.
"Well, I think I'll call it a day then.." he mumbles, rubbing
his sore backbone.
A soft rustle of feathers and a storm crow jumps up in the sky to
rise above the tree tops before drifting down to the small lake
at the north-western edge of the forest. After settling down on
a spot away form those nasty basilisk that roam the banks,
bags are unpacked and as the leather with the flesh come out
along with some fishing gear and a flint and tinder.
A fire is quickly set up and while the meat slowly sears he
attaches a few bright baubles to his fishing line finds a nice
spot between the water lilies and with the fishing line between
his bare toes he leans back enjoying the soft forest fresh breeze
soothing him to a snooze on the cool moss.

the stinging pain of his fishing line running between his toes
wakes him as he only just catches a glimpse of the Huge feltail
speeding away with his bait. Of coarse he is too late when he
grabs the rod to hook the fish. Slowly he reels it back in and
careful casts back in the line somewhere around the same spot.
The smell of the grilled flesh make his mouth water as he
replaces the tender steaks by some new ones to be seared.
the next hit hooks a nice trout, happily he casts the line back
in and cleans the fish to prepare it on the fire after poking it
up a little. the fish is quickly done and while enjoying that
freshly blackened trout he looks in amazement as some golden
glitters dance around his float. Quickly he sits up, ready to
strike when the float moves "I really want you goldy, you will make
some fine fish sticks." he softly whispers to himself.
Then a soft splash and a quick draw with the rod, and the fish is
lifted. The golden darter is quickly caught and unhooked.
marvelling at this beautiful fish he quickly removes the unwanted
parts and prepares it into a crispy fish stick, ready to strengthen
some uncertain healing power for a nearing adventure.
Satisfied with his catch he changes the last basilisk and warp meat.
leaning back with his hands behind his head, he dreams away in the
afternoon sun.
"hmmm, life isn't so bad after all..."
