The Trial of Flames

His old weathered hand was held out expectantly, his wisend eyes showed little sympathy to the young trolls woman's condition. He stared at her never acknowledging her bruised and batterd frame and his gestures demanded simply she reveal her package or leave. Adnaw leaned down to remove the contents of the sack on the ground near her, she did this slowly and achingly as she was sure a few of her ribs must be broken. One arm uselessly hung at her side as many of the bones init where entirely shattered. She used the one good arm to remove 3 small wrapped packages. With care she undid the wrappings revealing the still hot coals inside. She blew on them slightly to make them spark up and flame. These where then laid at the feet of the Troll elder.
He inspected the coals judging if the flames would be strong enough to add to Ogrimmars fire. After some consideration he nodded and motined for Adnaw to listen to him. "Ya test of endurance seem near complete youn' wo'mon. answa me questions tur befo da loa. Did yas don yas armour or weapons?"
Adnaw looked down at her blood covered body and ragged ceremonial garb, it has been a beautiful costume of vibrant feathers in all the colours of her loa Kukul'Kan when she had set upon the journey. Few feathers remained and the fabric itself was far from intact. She shook her head no, speaking at this moment was too much for her and she was afraid of this Troll more so than she had been of all of the Alliance.
He spoke again after her response, "Yas got dis test from Mastah Gadrin to prove yasself to yas tribe and mos important to da loa. Dis no be a test of yas ability to fight nor yas ability fo sneakin but simply dat on yas endurance. Yas be batehed in da cleansing watahs, den put in da correct clothing fo da loa, but did fou follow da mos important rule? Did you no once fight back, did yas take every blow and continue strong on yas journey? Nevah hidin? Nevah defendin just simply continuing on till yas mission be complete? Did yous take dis abuse an nevah stop? Did you raise a fist aganst dem dat attack yas?"
Again Adnaw nodded thinking of those that stayed to continuously beat on her everytime she attempted to rise to meet her goal, but she had succeeded and not once had she used her claws or fists in her own defense. Thinking of the pain she had lead her Raptor Bitey into and her riding raptor Tlaloc to she burst into tears again, to ashamed to look up at the old troll.
She finally choked out her words "Deese be da flames from da elf citeh, da hu'mon citeh, and da g'nome citeh, I hurt no mon." Her crying stopped and she suddenly felt the anger and need for revenge overwhelm her, she knew that the spirit of Kukul'Kan would need to be appeased, as the loa of revenge.
She looked up the fire gilstening a reflection in her eyes. The old troll placed a crown of fire upon her head and offered her a sleeping draught. She smiled and drank deeply knowing that tomorrow her strength would have returned and her body nearly mended. Now she would become vengence.
She slowly approached the large fire and kneeled before the troll in his festival garb. Her hair was matted with dirt and dried blood, her ceremonial costume was in tatters as it clung to her frame. She looked up with a tear stained face, one side of which was puffy and swollen, and she nodded at the elder by the bonfire.
