Background

The Argent Archives is the section of the Ironforge Library that deals with personal records and ancient history. Recently they've begun a campaign to register all the members of the new alliance in order to store the information for future reference.

Their philosophy:
"Those that do not take wisdom from the past are bound to repeat it's past mistakes".

History of the Archives
The Board of Scribes*, realizing they were losing funds to the war in Outland, decided to remove Alabast out of his retirement and put him in charge of collecting the necessary funds to feed the scribes of the Archives. Alabast, cursing his contract, brought with him his fiancee Yara and founded the Argent Post, a newspaper based in Stormwind. The Post operates independently from the Archives, but occasionally receives orders from the Board.

The Argent Archives, the guild employs a vast number of scribes, some of them, like Crudelia, Regi, Bootse and Eiswein have been sent to Stormwind in order to collect information from the library there.

The website is in some ways a representation of the Archives in Ironforge, though it is up to each character to decide what information is only on the site for OOC purposes, and what is actually written in the Archives in game. Try to accomodate for this during roleplay and avoid invading people's privacy.
