The Scryers.  The Farstriders.  The Sunreavers.  The culture of Silvermoon is riddled with secret societies and hidden agendas.  Today, the name of Dawnfalcon is on every tongue.  Who is he, this leader of the Sunwarders, and what are his true motives?  The Argent Post sent a reporter to uncover the truth - and lost her.

The Sunwarders, a group of Sin'Dorei, or Blood Elves in a more common tongue.
Lead by the rather unknown Lord Dal'Ashan Dawnfalcon and his two subordinates that deal with the public eye: Sir Andorien Ilthaynar and Sir Arathyrion Galadwyn Sunwrath.

Recent events have certainly given The Sunwarders a reputation amongst the public, providing entertainment for their people, or other races willing to deal with the slight Blood Elf scorn.

A poster appeared as if by magic, upon the notice board in the Royal Exchange, during the time of the Ball:

"The Sin'dorei have suffered much in their time, faced many obstacles, betrayals and challenges - and yet have still managed to restore much of their beloved Quel'thalas and push back the Scourge in the process. It is this fierce determination and their prevailing nature that is cherished, and it is these noble qualities that are cause for celebration."

Claiming to offer some reward for their people, The Sunwarders had organised a feast and dance to celebrate the glory of being Sin'dorei, and the overcoming of the many obstacles that barred their path. The event was held at Fairbreeze Village after dusk.

Afterwards The Sunwarders quickly surprised their fellow Sin'Dorei with another event, as the first of many weekly social evenings to come was held at Falconwing Square, with another gathering and the second part of the play that had begun at their ball.

Who are these Sunwarders?  Are they hope?  Are they simply an organization of Blood Elves providing casual entertainment to their people?  Or something more?  Perhaps they have more in store for their people, only time will tell.

The evening of the grand ball started off as many events do.  A crowd gathered, old faces were seen again and new ones introduced.  Even though most of the guests were indeed Sin'Dorei, some Orcs and Forsaken were seen too; perhaps not as welcome, yet still received.  No true quarrels arose though and the evening remained peaceful.

The evening proved rather eventful as the host seemed to provide his guests with quite a great deal of entertainment.  Several amusing acts took the stage, as acrobats, fortune-tellers and fire-breathers received many cheers and smiles from the crowd.

After the entertainment by the performers, the guests were given a while to mingle.
A vast amount of alcohol was available, and the host sang the praises of a generous supplier in Dalaran.  Thankfully this seemed quite necessary, as more guests would appear as the evening progressed, providing a rather chaotic moment for the two hosts.  They seemed to recover shortly afterwards however, as Sir Andorien announced the official opening of the evening.  The guests were given a few more minutes to make themselves comfortable and converse, and then the night began.

A crier announced that the play would begin, and requested the guests to assemble at the back of Fairbreeze.  As soon as the rather large numbers of people had their seats, necessitating a small request to clear a few areas for the actors, the play started off.

The play was received rather well, providing exciting moments where the actors even managed to pull off a few spells within their play, to the enthusiasm of the crowd.  The dramatic love-story took a few surprising twists, surprising the spectators with both dramatic tension, sympathy and suspense when weapons clashed within the play.

The play was cheered, and rumours about a second Act were soon shared amongst the guests as the playwright left the spectators with an open ending.  Whispered discussion as to the play's true meaning made for entertainment at many a private gathering and in many a tavern over the week following.  Several guests requested to the playwright that the play would be performed again, before a still larger audience.

The evening proved jovial as it slowly came to an end.  Drinks were shared within the building after the play for those willing to stay, thanks were given to the host and the other Sunwarders for their effort and talents.  The mysterious Lord Dawnfalcon did not appear, and his absence brought much speculation.

Of course within common courtesy, the host was thanked by a large amount of the guests.

One week later, another evening was hosted by The Sunwarders.  They once again appealed to the city's elite, providing drinks, theatre and conversation for yet another night.

It was safe to say however that the crowd was significantly smaller; however this did not bring hopes down for our host.  Thankfully the audience seemed more appreciative, as obviously the spectators this time came to see the ending of ‘Lies and Swindling'.  Some might even say there have been rumours of more known public figures appearing such as the Redwing Theatre Company, lead by sir Alvaren Redwing, an esteemed patron of the arts.  Last but not least, the night brought a rare public appearance from Lord Quicksilver, known throughout most of Silvermoon and also a true supporter of theatre and culture in general.

The evening, as described by the host, would be one of many as there certainly are plans made for the future to keep the guests entertained each week.  As said by the host: "Our people certainly deserve an amount of entertainment and lightheartedness, it would only fit if those aiming for the preservation of our people and Quel'Thalas would also provide common events for the masses rather than solely focusing upon urgent matters."

When asked about his plans for the future he announced the following: "We certainly aim to remember the way we stand where we are now, and plans for a pilgrimage are being made as we speak.  Besides that of course more lighthearted events will be provided in the future, yet also more serious matters such as the current situation with the Death Knights in Silvermoon come to mind."

Before evening's end, I became a new and proud Sunwarder myself, and I ask of you the following:  Is this truly hope for the Sin'dorei? Will Silvermoon indeed be restored to its former glory?  These questions remain unanswered for now, and as such I will end this article.

Only one answer springs to mind:  I certainly hope so.

Editorial message:  All those Sin'dorei who have encountered these "Sunwarders," these servants of Lord Dal'Ashan Dawnfalcon, have been converted by them, and joined in their cause.  Their numbers grow exponentially with each passing night.  Who is this Lord Dawnfalcon, and what does he hope for?
