Grand Steamwheedle Annual Hoedown

Every year, the residents of Steamwheedle and the surrounding towns come together to socialise, dance and be merry! The Grand Steamwheedle Annual Hoedown is guaranteed to be one of Azeroth’s biggest parties, especially this year due to the recent interest the gold rush has brought to the region.
Guests to this year’s event are asked to wear their smartest dress and pull on their dancing shoes, and will be welcomed to enter many of the evenings games and contests, including ‘Best Pet’ and ‘Best Dressed’, each of which rewards fabulous prizes!
So swing your partner round and round, don’t let her feet touch the ground, it’s the best party in all the town, the annual Steamwheedle Hoedown!
This event will act as the second part to the 'Gold Rush' event happening throughout the day (http://www.argentarchives.org/node/27882).
The Hoedown will be a ball held on the moonlit beaches and docks of Steamwheedle, and will be a great oppertunity to roleplay, socialise and have fun! During the ball, several contests will be held, including...
- The Best Pet Contest
Do you think your pet is the finest in all of Azeroth? Put it to the test in this contest! Pets will be judged on their appearence and each pet should also perform a 'trick' to impress the judges. The pet's 'trick' should be a single emote from the owner, for example 'Tinkerton watches as Mr Jingles, his pet reindeer, does a tiny backflip.' Judges will be looking for originality! The winning pet will recieve the title of Best Pet, and their owner will recieve a faboulous cash prize!
- The Best Dressed Contest
Every social function draws out the more fashion-friendly people of Azeroth, and the Steamwheedle Hoedown is no different! Contests will be asked to pose in their outfit, and also give a quick explination of their clothing (such as the theme of the outfit). Judges will be looking for an outfit that is fitting with Tanaris, but also original and exotic. Once again, the winner will be crowned 'Best Dressed' and recieve a fantastic cash prize!
So please come along, even if you've not managed to participate in the Gold Rush event itself! Hope to see you there!
