Background

The First Aegis

The Aegis of Justice was originally formed by Skellal Artorius and Teltha Lightclaw to create an Order away from the corruption of Stormwind, while still being close enough to protect the city, and so, the Aegis made it base in the Westbrook Garrison. Just before the riots in Stormwind on the 19th of May, the order reached its peak, with a large number of members and influence, as well as being able to root out more and more of the corruption through the powers granted through the creation of the JMA.

On the very afternoon the riot took place, the Field Marshal of the Aegis, Skellal Artorius, was "arrested" by The Stormguard, but he managed to alert the soldiers before he was dragged away to SI:7. All of the soldiers present in Westbrook were alerted and rushed to Stormwind to help their leader. During what started as negotiations and turned into a fight, Skellal ordered the soldiers to fall back several times, but he wasn't heard. In the chaos, an innocent bystander was killed by a soldier of The Stormguard, and the soldiers finally pulled back, only leaving a physician to see to the bystander. The soldiers took positions outside SI:7, while trying to find a constable from the City Watch, but the search was fruitless. After a while, the Shield of Wrynn showed up, and the situation looked brighter for a minute. Sadly, they only came, practiced their formations and shouted a little at the Stormguard while letting in many civilians who wanted to know what was happening. After the Shield departed, the chaos became more evident, as a single officer of the Watch fruitlessly tried to calm the crowd and negotiate. In the mess, Skellal escaped and rallied the Aegis at the Cathedral Square, leaving command to Muttaius von Ludendorf and calling the citizens of Stormwind to arms against the Stormguard. In the following assault, most of the Stormguard portalled away and SI:7 was burned.

In the days following this tragic event, Chancellor Dalrick Fizzleswitch had the Aegis disbanded while stripping Skellal of his title as Field Marshal and dissolving the JMA. Lady Amarae the Devout and her Stormguard were pardoned for any crimes they were suspected of, and they were allowed to return to the City peacefully.

The Second Aegis

After a long summer, Brethan Aoordumir, along with his half sister Genevee Gyendilar, decided to reform the Aegis. This time a lot more quiet and in a shade of secrecy, not knowing how the High Court of Chancery would react. As they started to spread the word that the order would reform, many recruits volunteered, as well as old members found their way back. Merely two days after the charter was created, the Aegis held their first drill outside the Keep in Menethil Harbour. After the drill, The United Front showed up in the Port, proving that there had been some rush in the administrative part of choosing the headquarters of the guild, and a failure in negotiations on sharing the keep led to the order being moved to the Hillsbrad Fields, where they set up residence after repelling a small Horde raid.

After settling down in the Fields, the Aegis met with the Lordaeron Guard and decided to ally in order to better protect and control the lands. It also became clear that the strong Syndicate and Horde presence made it difficult to maintain a secure supply line and forcing the Aegis to be on alert, constantly protecting the convoys and pushing back their enemies.

The Aegis fought valiantly, keeping her allies close, but alas, the Aegis fell victim to the shortage of manpower in the Alliance lands, not being able to replace it's losses as soldiers were directed towards Northrend rather than the lands of old. Slow, but steadily, the ranks of the Aegis shrunk, eventually almost exterminating the Order.

The leader of the Aegis, Marshal Brethan Aoordumir was on the verge of dissolving the order to save the lives of his remaining troops, but instead, it was decided that the Aegis was to join arms with the Empire of Licentia, moving to Kalimdor and pledging allegiance to Empress Salindre Forgen.

The Third Aegis

The third Aegis of Justice was formed about three month's ago by Lord Damarian Kain who wanted to save Stormwind from certain doom. He felth that the Aegis was needed to root out all the corruption that has spread in Stormwind.

But, the corruption found him sooner then he expected and it ended his life. Royal Guard Jarn Vaklor McCallister found the man in a alley, bleeding to death. He brought Damarian to the Cathedral of Light, but he died in his arms while on his way towards the Cathedral.

His final words where "Corruption spreads like a sickness..." Damarian was given a propper funeral, and his body was given to the earth.

Jarn took the tabard of Damarian and searched in the Archives for the history of the Aegis and felth that it was his duty to take over command and try to stop the corruption.

At the moment Jarn is part of a Menethil Mercenary organisation but still very active with the Aegis of Justice. He has given command to a Dwarf he met who seemed not touched by corruption and filled with justice.

That Dwarf is Glon'Dur Stonebeard, and he is now the acting Field Marshal until Jarn returns with a battle plan to remove those who threaten the Kingdom of Stormwind

After some month's Jarn returned to search for the Dwarf, but he could not find him anywhere. After some days Jarn heard the news that Glon'Dur died while protecting Ironforge against the elementals. It seemed only right to keep the Aegis at rest until another day.

The Fourth Aegis

Former Field Marshal Jarn Vaklor McCallister met a Young women who was eager to help the wounded men and women inside the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind.

He spoke with her, and it was clear that she wanted to create an order wich people would aid those who need healing. Although this order was made, but gone for some time now.

And those who are around do not heal those who need aid. And there are some around who decline into what they have been training for.

Jarn told the young woman about the Aegis of Justice, and that it needs a new purpose. The old version is not what the people need, and this idea of the young women would be it.

The young women, named Anetta Luna Dragonete was eager to take leadership of this Order, and together with Jarn they walked towards the Stormwind Cemetery to dig up the buried tabard of the Old Aegis of Justice.

Jarn handed over the tabard, with that giving power to the Priestess, with getting this Order she is now known as High Priestess Anetta Luna Dragonete. To give aid to those who need it. To uphold justice inside and outside the Stormwind Cathedral. Those who act with violence inside or outside the Cathedral will face justice for themselves.

Thus this day forwards, a new Aegis is born again to rise to it’s  former glory.
