Lord Summerdown, Chairman of The Society of Good Cheer has announced he shall be hosting a Grand Ball in honor of the Season of love and Poetry.  Invitations have been personally sent by messenger across the realm to heads of state, nobility, and social rank.  Invitations have also been posted as bills within the taverns and Inns in Silvermoon City and the other Horde capitals.

This Ball is different than others that the Society has hosted in the past.  In the hopes of inspiring adventure and Romance there are special rules for this particular Prom.

The Rules of Love:

• All are invited to come as friends or as social groups, but dates are not asked to be made for this evening.
• Upon arrival each person will be given a card at random, this card will have a match.  The game is to find your matching card, the person with your match will be your "date" for the evening dinner.
• The first to find their match will receive a prize.

• 20:00 - Meet and Greet, cards will be given and the matching game will commence.
• 20:40 - Food and Wine will be served.
• 21:00 - Wooing contest will begin
• 21:45 - Poetry and Dancing
• 22:30 - Grand Bard of Love announced

Contests and Rules:

Love Match Contest:
-Each person will be given a card and must find the other party member with the matching card first.

- You can not lie about your card when asked and must be truthful

- You will only be expected to share your meal with your Love Match Date of the Evening.

-There will be a prize for the first couple to find their match.

-You can not reveal what is on your card until the time to start has been announced.

The Wooing Contest:

-Only Men may enter.

-The object is to use wit and linguistics to outsmart, and out woo your opponents.

-You will be judged by the women of the audience.  If you have received 10 boos you are removed from competition.

-Men will each take turn in a row to either compliment the women, insult the other men, or combine these in order to gain the appreciation of the female audience.

-The final winner if there is more than one man standing at the end will be decided by cheer among the women.

-There will be a prize for the winner.

Poetry or Bard Contest:

- During the Dancing and mingling period, we will furbish a stage in which our troubadours of love may recite their words.

- Your recitation can be no longer than 5 minutes in length.

-There will be a panel of judges who will select the Bard of Love.

-There is a prize for the Bard.
