Background
Nethiros was the first child of his family, born in Southsore. There he grew up showing from small age signs of affinity for the arcane arts. Luckily for him his grandfather - who held a high position in the Church of Light - recognised the potential of the child and after consulting with his friends and allies in the Kirin Tor, persuaded his parents to let him go and study in Dalaran.
Young Nethiros, like a true book-worm, was amazed by the wizard society's vast library, containing a wealth of information on his favourite subjects (history and arcane lore that is) and studied for endless hours there.
In addition to that he was trained well in the arts of magic and its battle applications, becoming a formidable battlemage in the hands of Kirin Tor.
At some point he was also sent to the Royal Court to refine his knowledge about Azeroth's history and be introduced in the fine and subtle art of diplomacy.
Upon his return to Dalaran, the young mage received an urgent message to appear before the council. Anxious and somewhat afraid - might one say - he found himself in the mighty presence of Dalaran magocracy ruling body.
After enduring the inquisitive and somewhat harsh looks and questions of the Archmages, Nethiros was finally told the reason behind this urgent summon. Too many practitioners of magic used the arcane arts recklessly in the realms of Azeroth and danger of alerting the Burning Legion once again was imminent.
Therefore he would be tasked with the mission to seek arcane lore throughout the realm, locate rogue wizards and practitioners of the dark arts (warlocks) and see to it that they no longer posed a threat to the integrity of Azeroth and its denizens, stripping him of their magic powers and either terminate their existence or imprison them in special installations that would prevent them from ever practising their arts again.
To achieve this, Nethiros received special training under the most capable wizards of Dalaran, and after proving himself able for the task and resistant to the lure and power of dark and demonic magic he was set on his way.
What followed was a series of adventures that gave Nethiros much experience (in painful ways though one might add) and earned him the title of "Warder" from his superiors in Dalaran. The details though as well as the exact nature of his journeys were kept confidential, leading the rest of the mages and other officials throughout Azeroth to just take him for an ordinary of his kind.
But there was a price in all these. The nature of his occupation prevented Nethiros from establishing a family and living a quite life in a peaceful corner of Azeroth, as even if he wanted to retire, the need of his services wouldnt let him as well as the various "rogue" mages and warlocks who after suffering losses to him would like to send him to Twisting Nether once and for all.
And they almost managed since on a difficult assignment (that proved to be the last for Nethiros) a trap was set and by summoning a powerful demon almost sent Nethiros to his grave. He was lucky though and survived, but was left in a coma for a long time and when he finally recovered most of his powers were lost.
In addition to that many things had happened during his "absence". Burning Legion returned, his beloved Dalaran was destroyed and many of his brethren and masters were lost , inflicting terrible wounds on his soul, that would take much time to heal if ever at all.
And so Nethiros tried to rebuilt his life once again, determined more than ever to uphold his order's standards, root out corruption from Azeroth and one day restore Dalaran to its former glory and become reknowned to mages across the world.
After some research, he was instructed by his surviving peers to seek entrance in The Arcane Alliance Academy, in his efforts to restore his knowledge of the arcane, continue his tutelage under the wise masters teaching there and pursue his goals.
And so he did. One pleasant afternoon he sent a petition letter to Archmage Lawrana, co-leader of the Academy, making clear his intentions and seeking acceptance . Soon after, he was notified to attend a meeting in the Westbrook Garisson and when it was over, he had an interview with Shyron, responsible magister for these matters, after which He was accepted in the ranks of the Academy as an initiate.
Nethiros feels deeply honoured for this chance to prove himself useful and study under the wise magisters and protectors of The Arcane Alliance and now strives to perfect himself, learn new things, train rigorously, help azeroth's citizens and further the causes and goals of the Academy.
