Introduction

Introduction

A military themed guild Recently founded by Xaliús and Jagom, two gnomish friends and former members of the Gnomish Rescue Squad, the Brotherhood of Conquest.

The Brotherhood of Conquest are a company of people, from all different sorts of backgrounds and historys, of all races and professions, that put effort into claiming honor and glory on the field of battle. A band that has no aim that is in any faction's particular interest, but strives for a common good (A common good within the Brotherhood).

The Brotherhood of Conquest are more about fighting here and there against what they see as enemies and are very Battle-Brother/Sister about it. You know, bathing in crimson delight and then going to the pub to get all feasty about it, boasting one's claimed victories at the drinking of beer with one's mates.

((RP Background story/History is being updated regularly and may change as time goes on, ranks may also be changed as Story progresses.))

Benefits of Joining

Benefits of Joining the Brotherhood

We offer you:

  • A friendly, humorous yet mature atmosphere, with a great bunch of people of all levels, classes and races. Therefore should you require help with a dungeon or on a certain quest, there will more than likely be someone about that will be willing to help you.
  • Members can attend our meetings which take place at our HQ every Tuesday night, around 20:00 in-game time.
  • The chance to rise up in the Brotherhood and become a Sergeant, captain or maybe even a member of the High Council. Every rank has its privileges and responsibilities. Scroll down to see how our ranks work.
  • A Black and gold tabard, with no official outfit as of yet. You can see previews of this tabard in the various pictures scattered over the Brotherhoods Guild Profile. (Yes, here!)
  • We will soon start giving out missions for 'Squads' which will hold up to nine Initiates, and One Sergeant. But we havnt sorted anyone into their Squads just yet, and we will be deciding that on our second guild meeting.
  • The chance to meet and befriend mighty, odd and unique people, such as Arch-Mage Benedict, Lamberto the not so mighty, Mazermike the speechless and many more interesting characters that all have their own story to tell.
  • A choice to recieve strict, disciplined battle training from a specialist trainer, be it freeze and burn or hack and slash.
  • A Large HQ which holds two Armourys, Four Dorms, Two basements, Two Storage rooms, Two meeting rooms, Eight guard towers, two large mess halls, A tower for the more arcane types to study and train, a blacksmith for repairing and crafting, an arena/sparring area, a small outdoor bar, a stable, and a small engineering set up.

Yeah whatever, how do I join then?

If you are interested in joining you will need to contact one of the officers and arrange an interview at our HQ, Nethergarde Keep. Often new recruits are 'new' so will need to be escorted. Normally we are more than happy to pick you up and give you a hand getting to the HQ, and it often gives you a chance to get to know your 'Escorter' which usually ends in a new friendship.

For a list of officers that you can speak to about joining, scroll up and refer to "Recruiting Officers".

Featuring Mazermike!

Ranks:

2nd Private: This is where we all begin. New, fresh, untried and unproven. Registration on the website will be one part of your way up as a 2nd Private. The second will of course be the testing of your skills, combat being one of them. When both parts are deemed accounted for, you move up one step:

1st Private: As the name implies, you are now a full member. You have been Initiated through the trails set for you, as a 2nd Private and are now a Battle-Brother/Sister. Nothing special here, activity in the guild is of course a must.

Corporal: You've proven to be worthy enough to become a Corporal of the Brotherhood, but now, you have also proven to be able to keep up with the rest of the Brotherhood. Keep it up and you may have the chance to become a Sergeant. Follow your orders, keep up the hard work and training and answer to your superiors!

Sergeant: This would be the next step for you, the member. Responsibilities come with this rank, though not yet a real officer, Sergeants are considered -Squad leaders-, leading groups of up to 10 men. This rank makes it easy for the officers to control the actions of the battle groups, sending groups of 10 (+1 Sergeant) on different missions.

Captain: This is the officer's rank. Captains control up to 5 Squads, totalling at 50 Inititates and 5 Sergeants. Also a certain number of Neophytes will be put under your guard. Officers will not be able to add new members or promote them without the Guild Master, or a member of the higher Council there to see the interview through.

High Council: A recruitment officer, but also the one that keeps in-guild relationships in order. As a member of the high council, you will work with the Guild Master to make crucial decisions for the guild and its members, along with hiring new members, and keeping a friendly atmosphere within the guild. However that is something everyone must do as a member.

Staff: If you have the rank of "Staff" you have been given a specific job to uphold within the Brotherhood. Some examples of staff jobs include: Food/Drink Supplier, Cleaner, Librarian and other non-military based careers. As a member of Staff in the Brotherhood it is up to you to try and keep the HQ a living, breathing work-place for everyone. Definatly not to be taken lightly though.

The rank of Guild Master is an obvious one.

Rules and Regulations

Rules and Regulations

  • I. A Member of Brotherhood of Conquest shall always maintain a positive attitude towards other guild members, and other players not associated with Brotherhood of Conquest. Try and always keep others happy and up beat. A happy Guild member is a good guild member.
  • II. A Member of Brotherhood of Conquest should always maintain a positive appearance for the guild. Dont run around and shout flames at other players. Dont do anything that might offend another player. Try and always act the way you would want others to act towards/or around yourself. Try to avoid using ((Brackets)) as much as possible while RPing, and do not deliberatly try to ruin other players roleplaying experiances.
  • III. Members of Brotherhood of Conquest should always try to communicate with one another regularly. When someone logs on always try to say hello. When you log on always try and say hello to anyone who might be playing at the moment. Also try to keep fowl language out of guild chat. And try to refrain for cussing/swearing while in a group with none guild members. This will give Brotherhood Of Conquest a good Reputation/Appearance.
  • IV. As a Member of Brotherhood of Conquest, always try to be responsive. If a fellow member asks for help with something respond right away, even if you are unable to help at the moment. This will make members feel like they are cared about, not shunned. Always try to check the Website for Roleplaying and Raid and/or events planned and respond. This will help the officers keep track of who has done what. Note: Help does not come in the form of asking for Boosts. It is perfectly fine to offer a boost to the open guild chat, but not to ask for a Boost.
  • V. Teamwork must be held as a high priority for all Members of Brotherhood of Conquest. Without it we fail. Always try to lend a hand to the guild in any aspect. Whether it is helping a lower level player level, or a group of guild members with a quest, just try to help. It might be Crafting an Item for a member, or just giving a member some information on a quest they might be working. Always try to help in anyway possible.
  • VI. We want the Members of Brotherhood of Conquest to play World of Warcraft with a level of comfort they wish to play it. A member should not try to make another player do or help with anything that another member has already said they wish not to help with. Keep requests for items from a crafter down to a minimum, so as to not overwhelm another player. Play comfortably and you will play happy.
  • VII. As with Comfort, we also want Members of Brotherhood of Conquest to have their privacy. If you ask a member to help with something and they say they are busy, do not ask why, and or what they are doing. Members should not have to tell people what they are up to if they choose not to.
  • VIII. As a Member of Brotherhood of Conquest you must try to hold yourself accountable. If you signup for a raid and miss it, or will not be able to attend a weekly meeting, please try to send an email or at the very least post on the website, an apology. Also if you offer to help another player with something, try to help them all the way through. If you can not commit to finish with what you start, then try to not start something. No one likes to leave things half finished.
